How fast will I receive my photos?

Purchasing an emailed photo (s) is the fastest option, usually the photo (s) will be sent within hours to 2 days.

The mailed option will take from 2 days to one week after the payment is received.

If you have not received your image after one week or two weeks if you sent a check please contact me.

If you need the picture (s) immediately please let me know, I can try to drop it off or figure something out.

How can I pay for my photo (s)?

You can pay using a credit card, checking account or PayPal account via the PayPal checkout in the surfing gallery pages.

You can also send me a check or money order; my address is also located on the checkout page.

Is payment secure?

All payments online for pictures are done through the PayPal site, which is one of the most secure sites online. For more information on PayPal click this link: What is PayPal?

For sending payment via mail: please send a check or money order and not cash.

Do you offer refunds?

Refunds are offered on a case-by-case basis. Obviously, if you get the wrong picture or if you paid for a picture that has been already deleted off the web and hard drives, then yes, you would be entitled to a refund or correction.

How long are the picture (s) available to purchase?

The picture (s) will be deleted at some point. When all depends on how fast my hard drives and Server space fills up, usually about a month.

Best thing to do, buy the picture (s) get them on a CD and with proper care your photos will last up to a century on that CD!

How do you edit the pictures?

When I upload the pictures to the web they lose some of their quality and color. So when I edit them I try to compensate for this.

When you make an order I go back over the images to make sure they are in the best condition for you.

My best condition my differ from yours as I really like vibrance, clarity, color and enhancing the beauty of the ocean and waves so I am happy to also send the originals along with you order if requested.

If requested I can also crop the picture to bring it closer.

Can I make big prints with the pictures you sent me?

If you plan to make prints yourself with the pictures I would recommend purchasing the CD option. CD’s have a 700mb capacity and therefore I can put the image in its original size on the CD and you can make anything from wallet size photos to big posters.

Emailed pictures are reduced in size, where you still can print small pictures but anything 8”x 10” or bigger you would want to opt for the CD.

Can I take the pictures of the site but keep the watermark on?

NO. Only party and cruising pictures are allowed to be copied off the site but in this case the watermark must be kept on or there must be a reference to the site along with the picture at all times.

All surfing pictures on this site with or without the watermark are copyright material and this copyright is stored in the metadata of the picture forever. If you send the picture to be printed they will see this copyright data, alert me and not print it. If I ever come across a stolen picture I can without a doubt tell it is my picture just because my copyright is stored in the metadata and you will be in big trouble. Not only by the law but also from the page ill dedicate to you and the thousands of people coming to this site will see that you tried to steel.

Just buy it! Then I can keep my prices low, take more pictures, buy better equipment and eat.

What can I do with the picture (s) I buy?

When you purchase photos, you purchase a personal license to that photo. That mean you can use the photo for personal purposes. Like printing and framing it for your house, your surfing portfolio, putting on your personal blog, on your face book and other stuff like that.

You CANNOT reprint it in a magazine, sell it to anyone else, publish it in an online magazine or use it as an advertisement or other things like this. If you want to do any of the things in the last sentence you or that business need to Email me or call 808.366.1680 to buy a different permission of use.

This applies to the part or the whole photograph.

Spots where I shoot:

I shoot just about everywhere, even those spots that not many surfers know about. I am from here (Oahu) and the Big Island and love surfing all these spots too, therefore in no way would I want to crowd the spot by posting pictures with spot name or land geographies on the site. I’m just trying to take sick pictures! If there is an issue with a spot title or a bunch of geographies in the background which you feel would compromise the spot Email me and ill fix it.
